Application has commenced for the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, PTDF Masters Scholarship For Local Postgraduate Students currently pursuing or about to start their MSc in Nigerian Universities in 2016/17 session.
PTDF In Brief
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources established by Decree 25 of 1973 for the purposes of development, promotion and implementation of petroleum technology and manpower needs through research and training of Nigerians.
Our mission therefore is to train Nigerians to qualify as graduates, professionals, technicians and craftsmen in the field of engineering, geology, science and management in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria or abroad. We have a vision to serve not only as a vessel for the development of indigenous manpower and technology transfer/acquisition in the petroleum industry but also to make Nigeria a human resource centre for the West African sub-region.
Local PTDF Masters Scholarship
This category of the PTDF Masters Scholarship is meant for Nigerian students currently enrolled or willing to undertake an MSc programme in any recognized Nigerian University. Scholarships will be awarded to candidates that meet the selection requirements.
Interested and qualified candidates can obtain the application form online using an ATM card or through purchase of a scratch card from designated main branches of First Bank of Nigeria Plc in all the States and FCT, upon payment of a NON-REFUNDABLE sum of N1,000 (One Thousand Naira Only).
Instructions on how to access the form online is clearly stated on the backside of the cards. Applicants may please note that only those who meet the requirements below shall be shortlisted and invited for Electronic Aptitude Test on a date to be announced later.
PTDF Local Scholarship Application Deadline
All applications not submitted by December 12th, 2015 will not be considered. According to the scholarship board of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, early submission will help the review team process all applications and shortlist successful candidates timely.
